FDA's Sunscreen Rules Moving Forward
The new regulation that sets standards for formulating, testing, and labeling over-the-counter sunscreen products with ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) protection is expected to be finalized by October 2010, according to a recent article in The New York Times. Companies will then have up to 18 months to bring their products into compliance.
