    • Canada Adopts New Melamine Recommendations
    Canada is the first country to adopt new recommendations announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding consumption of melamine. The newly adopted tolerable daily intake (TDI) of melamine is 0.2 mg per kg of body weight per day. Read more.

    • California Proposition 65 Enforcement Action
    A California Proposition 65 action by a citizen enforcer against a marketer of headphones was settled on October 10, 2008. The judgment calls for the company to stop manufacturing, distributing, shipping, or selling any headphone cables that contain in excess of trace amounts of DEHP or any replacement/substitution phthalate.
