• Canada to Strengthen Consumer Product Safety Laws
The Canadian government is considering legislation that will strengthen product safety laws and give Health Canada, the agency responsible for national public health, the authority to issue mandatory recalls when products present a danger to health or safety. Read more.
• International Demand for Stronger Safety Standards on Window Coverings
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Health Canada, and the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumers (DG SANCO) recently called for immediate action to develop strong and comprehensive international safety standards on corded window coverings.
